Menu & cuisine
What type of Italian cuisine does Rosemarino serve?
Rosemarino D'Italia draws from both Northern and Southern Italian traditions — handmade fresh pasta, seasonal ingredients, and family recipes passed down through generations. The kitchen makes all pasta, sauces, and key preparations in-house from scratch.
What ingredients and preparation methods set Rosemarino apart?
All pasta is made fresh in-house daily — linguine, rigatoni, fettuccine, fusilli, spaghetti, and gnocchi are all hand-crafted on site. Sauces are prepared from scratch using quality ingredients. Dishes are inspired by authentic regional recipes from both Northern and Southern Italy, with a rotating Chef Menu that highlights seasonal produce and specials like Braised Osso Buco, seared U-10 scallops, and fresh seafood pasta.
Does the menu have vegetarian or gluten-free options?
Vegetarian options include Primavera pasta, Pesto rigatoni, Alfredo fettuccine, all salads, Bruschetta, and Funghi Trifolati. Gluten-free options are available — always inform your server of the severity of any intolerance, as cross-contamination is possible in a pasta-focused kitchen.
Bar & happy hour
Does Rosemarino D'Italia have a full bar?
Yes — both locations feature a full bar with craft cocktails, an Italian-forward wine list, Champagne, and a beer selection. The bar is the ideal spot for aperitivo before dinner.
Is there a happy hour, and when does it run?
Aperitivo / Happy Hour runs Monday through Friday, 3:30pm–6:30pm at both locations.
Does Rosemarino D'Italia allow guests to bring their own wine?
Yes — a corkage fee applies if you'd like to bring your own bottle. Contact your preferred location directly for the current fee and any restrictions before your visit: Dupont Circle (DC): (202) 733-1466 · Del Ray (VA): (703) 894-0957.

Does Rosemarino offer private dining for events?
Yes — private dining is available for birthdays, corporate dinners, celebrations, and group events. Reach out via the contact page at rosemarinoditalia.com or call your preferred location to discuss availability, group size, and custom menu options.
What is the atmosphere and dress code?
Warm, intimate, and moody — soft lighting, fresh herbs, a bustling bar, and beautifully set tables. Dress code is casual; smart casual is always a comfortable fit. The vibe suits date nights, neighborhood dinners, and celebrations equally well.
Is the restaurant wheelchair accessible, and where can I park?
Del Ray (VA) is wheelchair accessible. At Dupont Circle (DC), bathrooms are upstairs — call ahead to confirm. For parking: the DC location is steps from Dupont Circle Metro (Red Line). In Alexandria, free parking is available one block behind the restaurant near E 2nd St.
